About me
Hi, I'm Hannah! Originally from Northern California, I now live in Washington state where silversmithing has become a deeply fulfilling part of my life. I have always loved creating art and finding new ways of expressing myself! My journey into silversmithing began in the summer of 2024, after a series of events leaving me feeling deeply disconnected from myself. Seeking a fresh start, my partner and I decided to leave the city and take time to relax on a small island in the San Juan Islands where he grew up. After two weeks of being there I felt myself begin to reconnect to the earth and root myself in my surroundings. I began feeling safe enough to let my guard down to the birds and plants around me and received gifts from the forest which felt as though they were telling me, “We are still here, you are not alone”. I wanted to carry this sense of peace and connection with me, to always have a reminder that I am safe in my body, and that Mother Earth is always with me. It was in this peaceful environment that I found the courage to express myself through creating nature-inspired jewelry. What began as crafting small silver clay pieces in a tiny Seattle apartment soon blossomed into a passion for metalwork. Now, I have a cozy home studio in Port Orchard, WA. In expressing myself through silversmithing I have begun to regain a sense of autonomy and love for myself I didn’t think was possible a year ago. With each piece I create, I aim to pass along that same sense of healing with everyone who struggles in their own lives to feel love for themselves and safety in their bodies. I hope that with every piece I make I can channel the energy that the forest gave me on my walks on the little island and serve as a reminder that you are safe, loved, and always supported by the earth around you. Thank you for exploring my creations! I am honored to share this journey with you! <3
